Tar Hollow State Park

8 shelter houses, number of maximum occupants range from 25-50. There is one big-shelter house that has a maximum occupancy of 50 and 7 other ones with a maximum occupancy of 25 people.

This is a beautiful location for a wedding year-round with many interesting settings.

Twisting park and forest roads pass through 604 acres of deep ravines and dense woodlands with bridle trails and lakes.

Dogwoods, redbuds and a variety of wildflowers color the hillsides in the springtime. In the fall the pageant of color is spectacular.

Hocking Hills State Park

5 shelter houses in different parks, number of maximum occupants range from 25-100 for Lake Logan. All are fairly close to the Hocking Hills Dining Lodge.

Ash Cave provides excellent room for a large group (max occupancy 75 in shelter house) and offers a handicap-accessible path.

The Rock House provides ample space for guests (max occupancy 100 in shelter house) and is not wheelchair accessible.

Old Man’s Cave shelter house (max occupancy 60) is perfect for a wedding at the Upper Falls, a beautiful location. To get there is a rocky walk path.

Cantwell Cliff’s shelter house max occupancy is 50 and Cedar Falls shelter house has a max occupancy of 25 people. Both are gorgeous locations with a bit of a walk to the wedding locations.

Lake Hope State Park

1 shelter house, number of maximum occupants 60. It is a quick jaunt to the Lake Hope Dining Lodge. Lake Hope State Park is a natural area of 2,983 acres and lies entirely within the 26,824 acre Zaleski State Forest in the valley of Big Sandy Run. It is a rugged, heavily forested region traversed by steep gorges and narrow ridges. Lake Hope is considered one of Ohio’s most historic and scenic state parks.
